The primary job function of this position is to perform one on one clinical Exercise consultations with the guests of Canyon Ranch. This includes exercise prescription design and exercise testing and data interpretation in the areas of body composition and metabolic exercise tests. In addition the position requires the creation of and delivery of lectures on topics in the field of Exercise Science. The secondary job function is to professionally complete administrative duties which support the consultations and lectures such as phone and email communication with guests and fellow employees.

Guest Consults: Provides professional guest consultations which may include fitness testing such as indirect calorimetry, Bod Pod testing, submaximal exercise tests following established protocols. Formulates home exercise programs for enhanced health and performance. Interprets medical evaluations such as DEXA scans. Makes referrals for services at Canyon Ranch consistent with company standards. Communicates and collaborates with other Health and Healing practitioners to facilitate an integrative healthcare approach. Creates and delivers guest lectures on topics in the field of exercise science that are current, relevant and entertaining.
Education & Administrative: Completes administrative duties consistent with position. Creates and maintains appropriate materials to supplement lectures and consults. Completes all documentation, inter-departmental communication and phone and email follow-up for guest consults in a timely fashion. Participates in clinical and administrative meetings and committees. Uploads completed guest consult material into Electronic Medical Records System.

Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).

Advanced degree (legal, MBA, PhD) Required.
Masters Degree Required

CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment
Licensure as required by state in which services are provided
First Aid Certified
Certifications/licenses in relevant field; equivalent training will be considered
