Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Manager position provides support and oversight to the facility Housekeeping Directors at our 39 Skilled Nursing Facilities through the state of Texas and 1 location in Monroe, LA, to ensure that the Facility’s environment, which includes patient rooms, bathrooms, common space, dining rooms and administrative offices, are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with approved Cantex procedures. As Manager, this position will work in collaboration with other Regional team members and RVP’s to assure the facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner. Additionally, this position will provide support to the facility Housekeeping Directors in the areas of training, guidance and on-site reviews.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma is required.

· Prior Environmental Services experience in either a long-term care setting or healthcare setting.

· Minimum of three-year in a supervisory role with some multi-facility management.

· Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions:

· Under the stewardship of the Director and Assistant Director of Plant Operations and in partnership with the RVP’s, oversees all Housekeeping functions for the Skilled Nursing Division of the company.

· Expected to have a strong focus on sanitation requirements established by Company policies and State and Federal regulations.

· Provide guidance to the Housekeeping Directors through hands-on training and follow up through routine site visits.

· Conduct routine site visits to ensure that the environment meets the standards established by the Company.

· Develop and maintain a Housekeeping/Floor Equipment Management Program, that includes regular preventive maintenance checks, cleaning logs and repair/replacement tracking.

· Work directly with our HK equipment vendors and housekeeping directors on equipment issues.

· Ensure that facilities are properly maintaining all housekeeping related equipment with regular site visits.

· Provides assistance to the Executive Directors in hiring the Housekeeping Director and on-boarding training that will ensure a full understanding of the company expectations.

· Works directly with all Housekeeping and Laundry vendors and in conjunction with Plant Operations Director and Vendor Management Leadership.

· Provide feedback in the completion of the employee evaluations for the Housekeeping Director at the facility; as well as provide counsel or disciplinary action when appropriate.

· Introduce and maintain a carpet cleaning program to preserve a high-cost capital investment and avoid premature carpet replacement.

· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by Plant Operations or Sr. Leadership.
