Overview

As an Operations Group Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition from equipment readiness to mass production ramp up phases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and departments to optimize processes, resolve issues, and ensure that our vehicles meet the highest quality and performance standards. During production you will be overseeing and managing a group of hourly production employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the operations manager in the development and execution of launch and production goals, including timelines, resource allocation and training plans.
  • Assess manufacturing facilities, equipment, and personnel for readiness and scalability to achieve production targets.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control teams to establish and maintain strict quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Work hand and hand with manufacturing engineers in the development of production systems including operator efficiency, work instructions and quality check procedures.
  • Manage and mentor a team of production personnel and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and motivation.
  • Optimize the workflows to increase productivity, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality while maintaining cost efficiency
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance, to align objectives and drive effective collaboration
  • Prepare regular reports on production key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in robotics, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and assembly flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret system layouts, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word ,Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel as required up to 25% of the time

PreferredExperience 

  • 5 years of experience in the automotive or similar industry.
  • Self-starter mentality
