About the Role

Located in Costa Mesa, Calif., perform on-site or in-house repair of imaging products including Mirrorless cameras, Digital SLR Cameras, Lens, Flash, Binoculars, Powershots, EF and RF lens, Speedlite Flash, etc.

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s) / worksite(s) / territory.

Your Impact

• Perform on-site or in-house servicing, repair of company products. Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, repair DSLR Camera, Lens, and Flash system
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures
• Prepare reports for analyses of product failure trends and service ability issues
• Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requires attention to detail. Also, requires judgement for resolving issues brought up by level 1 and 2 technicians, based on established procedures and guidelines.
• Act as an escalation point for problems not resolved by level 1 and 2 technicians
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications to provide efficient and responsive service to customers
• Generate service revenue by repairing designated equipment
• Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned
• Prepare reports and other data for the department to ensure accurate information and recordkeeping
• Communicate with supervisor, and other departments as necessary, regarding the solution of technical and / or customer service related problem areas
• Perform high demand repair volume to support departmental goal of Turn Around Time
• Perform quality control related to repairs and provide reports and countermeasures
• Perform product training to internal / external clients
• Conduct product rework / modifications / New product inspection.

About You : The Skills & Expertise You Bring

• Typically requires general education or vocational training
• Ability to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of electromechanical equipment
• Minimum 6 months repair experience of camera or optical products or min. of 2 years of repair experience in the Electronic Field.
• Proficient with MS excel, Word, Powerpoint
• This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
• May require up to 20% travel (international and domestic travel). Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record necessary.

Valid US passport required.

Must be able to lift min. 15lbs in camera / lens / case weight.
