Canon is seeking a junior level Receiving Technician for a hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This is a permanent position. Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of Hospital Shipping & Receiving.

SHIFT:

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Responsibilities depend on hospital needs.
• Receive and unpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO’s) for delivery.
• Prepare orders for return-to-vendor shipment.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment.
• Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming.
• Prepare daily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.
• Works with the Receiving & Inventory Control Analysts for priority services and to report issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Repetitive motion
• Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs
• Walking, standing for extended periods of time

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years’ experience working in a shipping/receiving environment
• Experience working in a hospital preferred
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Considerable knowledge of the job.
• Knowledge of domestic/international shipping carriers, customs, and shipping regulations
• Experience with scanning equipment, internal database tracking, dollies and carts
