Job Summary:

Canna Remedies Assistant Inventory Manager is a middle management position overseeing and managing the organization's inventory levels and ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers. The assistant manager is a highly organized individual who can handle multiple tasks at once and take on a wide array of diverse responsibilities. They collaborate with store leadership to drive sales through maintaining an up to date and stocked online and in-store menu, maintaining accurate records, optimizing stock levels, implementing inventory control procedures, and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. The Assistant Inventory Manager will also assist the dispensary team with any and all additional tasks as deemed appropriate and within a practical scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure inventory operations are conducted in compliance with all company policies and NJ CRC regulations
  • Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of cannabis and cannabis devices to customers
  • Implement the strategy designed to grow the Company in conjunction with the Store Manager
  • Ensure inventory needs are met and oversee inventory counts, audits, reconciliations, and record keeping.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and scheduling of staff at the dispensary
  • Recognize team member performance and effectively provides the necessary coaching/mentoring and feedback to ensure team member success
  • Assist in providing feedback to direct reports and the development of performance reviews for staff
  • Handle escalated customer concerns when necessary
  • Provide oversight and leadership to inventory staff; manage workflow and delegate work as necessary
  • Monitor product movement and tracking systems to spot trends in sales and provide guidance for cannabis product procurement.
  • In conjunction with the Store Manager, oversee use of inventory and state tracking systems, financial records, compliance reporting and store compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations and all related SOPs with respect to the store to assure that operations at the store such as check in, product dispensing, cash management, inventory management, inventory auditing, customer service and complaints, are functioning with integrity and in the most cost efficient, compassionate and compliant manner
  • Assist the Store Manager to ensure all store operation deadlines are met
  • Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion, fairness, and diversity
  • Maintain an expert awareness of cannabis products, industry trends, and NJ CRC regulations
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Store Manager and staff
  • Remain current on all company programs, marketing campaigns, and promotional specials
  • Represent CR in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others
  • Implement company policies and ensure staff adheres to best practices
  • Consistently maintain a clean and neat workroom and vault
  • Monitor and investigate inventory shrinkage
  • Participate in CR staff trainings and meetings, providing support when needed
  • Maintain compliance with NJ CRC Adult Use Cannabis rules and regulation

Education & Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or relative field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of retail, hospitality, or inventory management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • Proficiently operate Point of Sale, Inventory Management, Product Menu platforms, and other necessary forms of technology
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, strong problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of cannabis is favorable
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
