- Masters degree from an accredited university
- Texas license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Conduct Speech-Language evaluations to determine the educational need for specialized therapy services
- Review evaluation findings with parents and district personnel
- Assist the ARD committee with the development of targeted, evidence-based, therapeutic interventions that support student performance, participation, and access to the educational setting.
- Provide therapy and/or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in providing services as outlined in the IEP
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress
- Participate in ARDs, parent conferences, or other relevant meetings in support of the special education program.
