1 Production Coordinator, Reprints Job in Somerville, MA
Candlewick Press is Hiring a Remote Production Coordinator, Reprints
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Working closely with the Senior Production Manager, Reprints, the Finance department and the Inventory management team, the Production Coordinator will attend weekly reprint meetings, maintain our reprint schedule report, and keep accurate records of books ordered and received.
- Liaise with our London office to traffic and oversee reprint production of Candlewick backlist titles as applicable.
- Work diligently to achieve expectations regarding margin performance and identify areas of cost savings.
- Prepare estimates, print instructions, purchase orders, shipping instructions, and shipping orders through company database.
- Enter invoice instructions into company database for reprints after books are shipped.
- Expediently review invoices, resolve any discrepancies, and approve for payment.
- A minimum of 2 years book production and print buying experience in a juvenile publishing environment with both 1-color and 4-color experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with a history of success in effectively scheduling, trafficking and managing a list of titles.
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and efficiently and deal with issues diplomatically and tactfully.
