SUMMARY OF JOBCoordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alternation of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSInspects plants and evaluates use of space and facilitiesInspects plant and evaluates use of space and facilitiesAnalyzes firm’s HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting and other factorsMaintain appearance of building facilities internal and external landscapingPlans, budgets and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, parts and materials, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitionsPerforms audits to support facility planningDevelops long range plans, conceptual designs and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facilityFormulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contract and associated documentActs as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agenciesFiles appropriate annual reporting information for government agenciesInspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specificationsReviews real estate contracts for compliance with government specifications and suitability for occupancyOversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout and communication servicesOversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities repair and preventive maintenanceProvide management with proper maintenance documentation and reporting informationOversee and monitors the established security functionEnsures adherence to security regulations and procedures in the protection of organization property from fire, theft, sabotage or other situations which endanger the well being of employees or organization facilitiesWorks closely with law enforcement agencies on investigations or irregularities connected with organization securityPrimary contact to ensure all employees is working in a safe working environment.Responsible for ensuring all environment, health and safety requirements are met, through partnering with the local SH&E Specialist PREFERRED EXPERIENCEFive (5) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience REQUIRED EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESFamiliarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems a plusSafety and Environmental trainingStrong communication skillsProject management experienceBackground in manufacturing environmentBudgeting and long range planning experienceKnowledge of security functions
