Job Summary
Fills critical short term vacancies in designated areas. Registers and interviews patients, completes pre-admissions, and ensures information accuracy. Handles routine patient inquiries and issues. Works closely with other areas including departments and physician offices. Greets patients and processes them through to the appropriate area.Essential Functions
Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Accurate spelling and attention to detail required. Must be able to key 40 wpm. Knowledge of patient registration, insurance, and hospital billing preferred. Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of third party reimbursement preferred. Excellent communication skills and customer services skills required.
