OPERATIONS MANAGER -- INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
We are searching for the right person to join our operations team in the Big Ticket warehouse with quick learning skills to be responsible for both inbound and outbound distribution of furniture, bedding, and other Big Ticket areas, reporting to the Director of Warehousing. With a facility for, and ability to learn how to manage hourly associates, will direct a staff of approximately 18 hourly associates, recommend, document physical plant and system improvements, and allocate labor resources. Promote safety awareness and accident prevention. 

Job Responsibilities

• Direct hourly supervisor and hourly employees.
• Management of a 200,000 sq. ft. main warehousing and processing facility
• Responsibility for UPH, CPU, and expense control.
• Interface with Reading DC Operations and Fleet Operations in planning and coordinating movement and processing of merchandise.
• Advise Director of Warehousing of operational performance issues and needs.
• Coordinate and document evaluation and establishment of work procedures, production methods and standards.
• Foster employee involvement, morale and compliance with company and building rules and policies. Train/retrain coworkers.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases.
• Ensure building compliance to Boscov’s and OSHA safety requirements.
• Author and present well-written performance reviews and corrective action.
• Collaborate with other facility operations managers to ensure building stays on task 

Job Requirements  

• PC Required Skills: MS Office 
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field. Retail experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
