Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a board-certified Pediatrician to join the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, part of Children’s Services which includes Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH). Ranked as one of the top Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report in eight specialties for 2022-2023, LCH is the most comprehensive children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC. This physician will provide care for the rapidly growing community in Charlotte, NC, at our Myers Park Pediatrics location and with our Child Protection Team. All our pediatricians are board-certified and offer complete pediatric medicine for children from newborn to 18 years old.

• Myers Park Pediatrics: the primary ambulatory teaching site for LCH pediatric residents and for students at the Charlotte campus of Wake Forest University School of Medicine. In addition, the practice is the largest safety net pediatric practice in Mecklenburg County. There are 7 faculty physicians and 5 advanced practitioners in the practice.
• Child Protection Team: 3 full-time Child Abuse pediatricians and 3 advanced practitioners. The program provides ambulatory services at 4 regional Child Advocacy Centers and inpatient consult services at LCH. 

Position Details:

• Office Hours: Monday – Friday
• 60% with Myers Park Pediatrics (Outpatient) and 40% with Child Protection Team (Inpatient and Outpatient)
• Average Daily Patient Volume: Myers Park Pediatrics (8-12 per shift) and Child Protection Team (2-3 per shift)

Candidate Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in general academic pediatrics in an ambulatory setting required.
• Board Certification in General Pediatrics required and Board Certification or Board Eligible in Child Protection preferred; if not Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Protection, then 5 years of Child Protection experience required; eligible for North Carolina Licensure also required.
