Job Summary
Manages the bariatric program, accreditation process and ensures continuous compliance with the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) requirements, maintaining relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcome data collection, quality improvement efforts and education of team members in the various aspects of the metabolic and bariatric surgery patient focusing on patient safety. Manages COE/Quality designation with managed care companies. Serves as liaison between facility and all surgeons performing metabolic and bariatric surgery at the center.Essential Functions
Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Effective May 1, 2015 required to be a licensed healthcare professional or registered dietician based on MBSAQIP requirements.
