We are CanAm Transport, an Independent Service Provider delivering packages for FedEx. I am hiring for permanent positions as part of my team. Our job is package delivery, nothing hidden there, starting in Staunton and delivering through Nelson, Amherst, Appomattox, and Buckingham counties. So there is a fair bit of driving involved so if you do not enjoy driving then this job probably is not for you. Our days start at 8:30am and typically ends around 6:30 pm but all days are different. So yes that makes for a 10 hour day and full time would be 4 days with extra days of work and overtime a possibility. My starting pay is $18.00 an hour. The benefits listed would be available after 90 days of employment and for our Blue Cross Blue Shield we cover 50% of the premium.

You must have a self starting mindset with a good work ethic with integrity which is to do the right thing when no one is watching.

You must be 21 or older. You will need to pass a background check as well as have a pretty clean MVR to pass the application.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods from the warehouse to designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays during deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and operating the vehicle

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role is a plus
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
