The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cannabis Dispensary Store Manager (SM) who will be responsible for the overall operations of our brand new Fairhaven, MA location. Responsibilities of this role include recruitment and management of staff, implementing and following standard operating procedures, scheduling, overseeing inventory operations and purchasing, compliance management, and all other tasks that arise in a dynamic retail environment.The Manager also works directly with the Executive team to develop sales objectives to maximize revenue, expand marketing and ensure good record keeping. The ideal candidate will have retail or hospitality management experience, be adaptable, proactive, strategic, empathetic, analytical and possess a genuine passion for delivering legendary customer experiences .

Key Responsibilities

Daily Store Operations

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy upscale dispensary
  • Maintaining store compliance with all local, state and federal regulations including maintaining written SOPs as changes to policy and/or regulations occur and ensure compliance among team
  • Duties include financials, physical inventory, storage and supply of cannabis, hiring, training, and leading team members
  • Overseeing a distribution process that is professional, confidential and safe for all patients and customers
  • Inspiring, motivating, supervising and directing staff as well as making decisions regarding hiring, termination, and advancement of team members
  • Serving as a liaison to the local community by providing accurate information to customers and medical providers
  • Managing financial records and daily cash handling procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store
  • Performing other duties as required to successfully meet department and company goals

Sales and Customer Service

  • Provide and inspire Retail Sales Associates to deliver legendary customer service
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
  • Set sales and service goals and lead staff to exceed those goals
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual sales reviews
  • Own all customer feedback, requests, and concerns and provide resolution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related experience (preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in a management environment
  • Retail management preferred
  • Cannabis experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Accountability for others
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, project management and time management skills
  • Practical and proactive thinking
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships in order to gain support and results

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e., Word, Excel, email, etc.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
