CAMPTOWN is Hiring a Front Desk Agent Near Leeds, NY

Camptown in Leeds, NY is looking for a kind and outgoing Front Desk Agent to be the face of the hotel. The Front Desk Agent will welcome hotel guests and be their main point of contact throughout their stay. In addition, the Front Desk Agent will provide food and beverage service in the hotel lobby. Hotel experience is not necessary but a desire to create memorable experiences and interact with a variety of guests is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Interact with hotel, restaurant and community guests, using guest names whenever possible
  • Answer all phone calls to the front desk, placing calls on hold when unable to speak immediately
  • Respond to all inbound emails in a timely manner, forwarding to management when unsure how, or unable to, resolve
  • Provide educated and approved activity suggestions, staying up to date on hours of operations along with special events
  • Handle hotel guest requests, providing reasonable accommodations whenever possible to create a comfortable environment
  • Oversee front desk, lobby and common area cleanliness, alerting the Hotel Manager and Housekeeping Manager when additional cleaning is needed
  • Operate hotel property management system; making reservations, checking guests in and out, adjusting bookings along with additional systems as required
  • Inventory and restock pantry, recording product levels and confirming proper charges are applied to guest folios
  • Ensure there is always fresh coffee, tea, milk and sugar available in the hotel lobby for guests
  • Serve light bites and drinks in the hotel lobby when the restaurant is closed
  • Communicate with housekeeping to make sure rooms are on schedule for check-in

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Weekends as needed
