Campbell University is Hiring a Director of Football Equipment Operations Near Buies Creek, NC

Department: Athletics

Status: Full Time

Position Summary:

The Director of Football Equipment Operations performs a variety of duties related to managing a football equipment department; including, but not limited to, equipment and apparel ordering/receiving, inventory control, laundry services, and business office interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and organize programs for maintaining and purchasing equipment for the football program
  • Prepare and monitor football equipment budget
  • Travel to football events and maintain a variable work schedule dependent on football season.
  • Ensure that all equipment needs are met for the football program
  • Coordinate with football coaches to determine team’s equipment needs and design of new uniforms
  • Select vendors and purchase football equipment and uniforms
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies for the football program
  • Fits or monitors fitting of football equipment to ensure athletes receive appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Equipment Operations, the Deputy AD and/or the Athletic Director
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with NCAA, CAA, and University rules and regulations.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organization skills: ability to prioritize work and multitask.
  • Excellent analytical as well as computing skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve complaints and concerns for both internal and external parties.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions; ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Experience and skills working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays; some travel required.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of Campbell University policies and procedures and FERPA guidelines.
