Camp Taconic, a co-ed sleep away camp in Western, MA, is currently hiring upbeat and enthusiastic counselors to be role models for our campers this summer.

We provide room and board for the summer, a salary as well as travel reimbursement, internship credit (if applicable) and it is an overall wonderful experience! This is a summer job position, beginning June 13, 2024 and ending August 10, 2024.

You will live with a group of campers, ages 7-15 and throughout the summer, your job is to monitor the social, emotional, and physical well being of your campers.

We have a number of activity areas we are still hiring for including volleyball, basketball, soccer, fitness, swim instruction and high ropes / challenge course.

Each specialty counselor will work in one area of camp and teach campers of all ages who are assigned to their area for that period.

We are looking for counselors who are passionate, creative and have the ability to teach and develop the campers’ skills in that area.

A specialty counselor gets the benefit of working in an activity area that they love, seeing the campers develop skills in that area, and get to be part of a group of campers in a bunk.

• Available to live on-site from June 13, 2024 to August 10, 2024
• Passion and previous experience for working with children and / or coaching
• Enthusiastic about spending time outside, meeting new people, traveling, and making a positive impact on young people through sports
