What do you do as a Front Desk Associate?

  • Front Lobby Ambassador. Greet all dogs by name, acknowledgement should be immediate upon entering the lobby
  • Give camp tours to potential customers
  • Assist with temperament evaluations for new dogs
  • Know all Camp policies and rules and enforce all Camp rules to customers
  • Answer calls, voicemails and make reservations for boarding, grooming, and temperament evaluations
  • Make confirmation calls for boarding reservations
  • Communicate with vets to keep vaccination records current
  • Maintain records so that all vaccination and customers’ information is current and accurate
  • Communicate with staff and management to keep all tasks on schedule and maintain daily operations
  • Communicate with owners regarding health and behavioral issues
  • Keep the front desk, lobby floors, shelves, and windows clean with appropriate music always played
  • Escort dogs to the play yard and announcing their arrival to yard staff
  • Prepare dog lunches as dog’s check-in, and keep lunch list current
  • Prepare boarding dogs’ meals for breakfast and dinner
  • Assist groomer with baths, nails, etc., if needed
  • Keep bathrooms clean and properly stocked
  • Take out trash from front, and water plants
  • Maintain clean parking lot and front of building
  • Dispense medications for dogs when needed
  • Responsible for dogs being properly leashed in lobby
  • Make sure all dogs have a name tag before they enter the yard
  • Check boarders in and properly prepare boarding check lists
  • Check boarders out and properly calculate charges due
  • Fill out Report Cards for Daycare and Boarding

What do you need to be successful?

  • Loves dogs with a positive attitude!
  • Front lobby ambassador.
  • Greet all dogs by name, acknowledgement should be immediate upon entering the lobby with an upbeat, friendly, and professional attitude
  • 1-year front desk experience with scheduling and interacting with clients, or similar experience
  • Show compassion, be caring and have empathy to others
  • Self-starter personality that can complete daily tasks without the need for constant direction
  • Work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Able to multi-task in a constant varied environment
  • Effectively communicate with management, staff, and pet parents
  • Follow policies and procedures having ability to implement with little to no supervision
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with ability to stay organized
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather and temperatures throughout the year
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods
