Camp Piankatank, located in Hartfield, VA, is hiring for the summer season! Camp Piankatank is a Christian summer camp and retreat facility. Experience a positive work environment with a wholesome mission.

We are accepting applications for the Groundskeeper position. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is responsible, results-oriented, comfortable working without direct supervision, skilled at prioritizing tasks, and interacts positively with others. The Groundskeeper performs mowing, facility and equipment maintenance. Duties include, but are not limited to mowing grass; raking/removing leaf litter; trash and litter removal; painting; trail work; maintenance and use of common hand tools; working with other staff and volunteers on projects; and performing other duties as assigned.
This is a seasonal position. Hours varying 15-25 hours per week. Hours will peak in the summer months, and be less in the fall. Very little work in the winter months.

Qualifications

• Hold a driver's license.
• Experience operating a zero turn lawn mower.
• Must pass a criminal records background check.

Considerations

• Heavy lifting sometimes required.
• Should be comfortable working on a ladder occasionally.
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Work is outdoors and in the summer months.
• Camp Piankatank is a faith-based organization. This position does not require the employee to be of a specific faith, but they must be supportive of our mission.
