Camp Bow Wow is Hiring a Kennel Technician/Receptionist (Weekend Only) Near Cary, NC

Reception Duties:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kennel Receptionist and Dog Care Assistant. This position primarily involves providing exceptional customer service to clients, managing administrative tasks, and overseeing the smooth operation of our kennel facility. Additionally, the role may require hands-on interaction with the dogs in our care, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities:

1. Reception Duties:

  • Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries regarding services, pricing, and availability.
  • Schedule appointments, manage reservations, and update client records accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors.

2. Administrative Tasks:

  • Process payments, invoices, and receipts accurately using our management software.
  • Update and maintain client files, vaccination records, and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking inventory as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer satisfaction.

3. Dog Care Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care and attention to dogs staying in the kennel facility.
  • Feed, walk, and administer medications to dogs according to specific instructions.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic grooming tasks as required.
  • Clean and sanitize kennel areas, dog runs, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.

4. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with kennel staff and management to ensure the highest standards of animal care and customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues promptly.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to animal care and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative roles preferred.
  • Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care and attention to dogs.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using office software and management systems.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays and available on holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to handle and restrain dogs of various sizes and breeds safely.

Note: This job description outlines the primary duties and responsibilities of the Kennel Receptionist and Dog Care Assistant role. However, additional tasks may be assigned based on the needs of the kennel facility and the individual's skills and qualifications. Individuals will be trained in our Kennel prior to moving to reception area.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.50 - $11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
