• Develop and maintain inspection reports
• Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
• Perform inspections across all stages of production
• Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
• Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
• Use various measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, bore mics, and drop indicators.
• Accept, reject, or rework component parts in the manufacturing process.
• Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists
• You may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Develop and maintain Training Materials for inspection.
• Clearly, accurately and concisely communicate potential defects to quality engineers for disposition.
• Supports team management in schedule and prioritizing daily work
• Monitors and verifies that product quality is in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other control procedures.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintains necessary inspection documentation, writes inspection reports, and enters inspection data and defect information into a computer database.
• Frequently interfaces with internal teams across the organization and external customers and contacts.
• Participates in team activities and provides expertise and guidance for effective problem-resolution.
• Audits processes and activities in accordance with documented procedures.
• Follow Quality Procedures for Receiving Inspection, In-Process, Final and Source Inspection Processes to ensure compliance of part dimensions on the CMM prior to acceptance
• Perform various inspections using inspection hand tools and equipment
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and report them
• GD&T knowledge and experience is preferable
• experience in metal manufacturing is preferable
• Experience with Toolsteel, brass, aluminum, castiron, stainless steel and titanium.
• Able to multitask and assist where needed
