Cambridge Village of Wilmington, an Independent Senior Living Retirement Community is looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Will perform daily maintenance in an apartment/hotel/resort style setting. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to work order requests in units in a timely & efficient manner
• Maintain paint & carpet schedule around community
• Monitors fire system, sprinkler system and door entry system operation and maintenance
• Assists with the maintenance and beautification of the community including grounds and trash
• Ability to diagnose physical plant, technical and mechanical problems and facilitates repairs while performing routine minor repairs.
• Ability to assist with overseeing building, electrical and plumbing projects with outside vendors as appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service to customers

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· One year or more maintenance experience required

· Must have valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

· May be required to respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis.

· May be required to sit, bend, stoop, see, talk, and hear.

· May be occasionally lift medium to heavy objects.

· May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
