Qualifications/Experience:High School Diploma/GED.Successful DHS background check required.Preschool and School age classroom experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:General knowledge of childcare practices and techniques, general knowledge of children’s developmental and social growth expectations and needs, ability to work with preschool and school age children. Experience with working with children with 504 plans, and IEP plans and behavior challenges.Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. Specific Tasks:Support to classroom staff as needed. See the job description for additional information. Hours Per Day:Program open 6:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Training days June 7-11. Program dates June 12-August 22, 2024. Closed June 12, July 4 and July 5.

Schedules flexible and will vary

Due to state grant funding, all staff will receive a retention stipend based on the completion of their summer assignment, longevity with Adventure Center and number of summer hours worked.
