Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler and Preschool Room Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and lives of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop important skills for their future.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Provide individualized attention and support to meet the unique needs of each child
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through effective communication and regular updates on their child's progress
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and create a structured learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum
- Assess student progress through observation, documentation, and assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and development
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote active learning
- Experience in classroom management techniques to address behavior management challenges
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of relevant coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred
