Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant General Manager. As the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth restaurant operations. You will lead a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, and other front-of-house staff, ensuring that they consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be vital to your success in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to policies and manage assigned operating systems.
  • Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations.
  • Represent company values and create a respectful, positive, and professional work environment.
  • Participating in hourly team member hiring.
  • Train and verify team members’ understanding of Cibo SOP's.
  • Assist General Manager with developing other Managers and supervisors.
  • Focus on service & food standards and assist General Manager with weekly KPIs.
  • Maximize financial and operational results.
  • Complete weekly financial reporting and inventory audits with General Manager oversight.
  • Operate computer systems including a POS System, Online Team Member Scheduler, Inventory/Ordering software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment and food safety.
  • Manage the front of house team.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new staff.
  • Creating and managing work schedules.
  • Performing employee coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Reviewing and approving employee timecards.
  • Oversee day to day operations in the Front of House.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly fixing any issues.
  • Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back of house.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant. Scratch kitchen experience preferred.
  • A minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred certifications include ServSafe and state/local licensing requirements.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per shift.
  • Must have the ability to work 45-55 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of restaurant management experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.
  • Prolonged periods standing and preparing and cooking food.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
