Greene County Anti-Drug CoalitionExecutive DirectorReports to: Greene County Anti-Drug Coalition Board of DirectorsStatus: Full timeSummary: The Coalition seeks to empower youth and adults to choose a drug and tobacco free lifestyle to make Greene County a healthier, safer, and better place to live and work. The Coalition will focus on primary prevention activities and build partnerships with other local organizations to prevent and reduce drug use in Greene County and help those in recovery.Duties:I. ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT1. Recruit and support Coalition members, directors, and officers.2. Plan and execute Coalition programs and activities.3. Research and implement best practices for Coalition governance and structure.4. Ensure ongoing sustainable funding for the Coalition.5. Provide board and member training and development.6. Pursue professional training at a local, state, and federal level and achieve and maintain status as Certified Prevention Specialist.7. Seek guidance and coaching from adjoining Coalitions and state and local supporting organizations.8. Strategically plan for ongoing Coalition operations.II. PROGRAM1. Develop prevention and intervention programs.2. Assess community efforts to identify gaps and needs.3. Cultivate partnerships with other community organizations.4. Develop and execute programs to address gaps and needs.5. Strategically plan for ongoing Coalition programs.III. FISCAL ADMINISTRATION1. Prepare program and annual budgets and secure funding to meet budget requirements.2. Supervise internal control of receipts and expenditures.3. Establish procedures for grant administration and reporting.4. Secure auditor for annual examination and preparation of proper tax forms.5. Ensure required registration with local and state government agencies.6. Strategically plan for ongoing Coalition accounting procedures and policies.IV. LEADERSHIP1. Hire and supervise staff as needed to accomplish Coalition programs and objectives.2. Represent Greene County Anti-Drug Coalition within the community.3. Build positive relations with government agencies for funding and programming.4. Develop and update personnel policies and procedures when necessary.5. Coordinates performance evaluations for employees, schedule evaluations, and analyze written evaluations.6. Administers and tracks all leave records, timesheets and related documents.7. Performs related duties as required.Qualifications:I. Bachelors degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Personnel Management or closely related field, or commensurate work experience.II. Entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, and willingness to do anything required.III. Grant-writing expertise a plus.Compensation:I. Salary commensurate with experience and per grant limitations.II. Other benefits to be negotiated with the exception of employer-provided health insurance (there is no employer-provided health insurance).Physical Requirements:1. This is light to medium work requiring moderate static, explosive, dynamic and trunk strength and requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects2. Work requires considerable flexibility, mobility and speed of limb movement3. Work requires moderate effort and stamina4. Work requires both gross body equilibrium and coordination for balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling and walking5. Work requires arm/ hand steadiness and manual and finger dexterity6. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word7. Hearing is required to perceive information in both quiet and noisy environments and determine the direction of sounds8. Visual acuity is required for the inspection of small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of office equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, color differentiation, and observing general surroundings and activities9.
