SRS Development Company, founded in 1986, is a property management company located at 101 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. We are looking for a full-time maintenance technician to join our team to maintain our commercial, retail, and storage facility here in Walnut Creek.

Job Description:

To perform maintenance repairs for our buildings and tenants of the building.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Knowledge of commercial building maintenance required.

Relate professionally with vendors, tenants, owners and co-workers.

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.

Ability to communicate problems and possible solutions to property manager.

Perform maintenance requests received by property management.

Computer literate.

Reports To: Property Manager

Status: Full Time (Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, this position provides day-to-day general building maintenance. Regular tasks include and are not limited to:

• Maintaining positive communications with tenants; responding and following up on requests and problems to ensure tenant satisfaction.
• Maintaining overall building appearance to high quality standards, including light painting, carpentry and plumbing, door hardware, etc.
• Maintaining exterior and interior lighting systems; water-wall fountain system, assist HVAC technician when necessary.
• Maintaining service records and routine logs.
• Assisting with water shut-downs, fire protection systems, and generator refueling operations.
• Maintaining shop area, tools, parts and supplies in clean and orderly fashion.
• Assisting contractors with building and systems information as requested.
• Handling off-hours emergency service calls and technical support as scheduled.
• And other duties as required falling within the purview of the manager.

Experience:

• 2-3 years’ experience in general building maintenance
• Able to lift heavy objects, exert sustained physical effort
• Able to climb ladders, stairwells, work on rooftops and in confined areas
