Cambay Healthcare is Hiring a Registered Nurse, Operating Room Near Oakland, CA

he staff RN is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team membersEssential Functions:

1. Customer Service
a. Utilizes innovative approaches to improve service delivery.

d. Creates an environment in which customers feel respected and diversity is valued.
e. Communicates and listens effectively.
f. Exhibits a flexible and proactive approach to changes in the workplace.
g. Demonstrates an understanding of the organization’s values and mission statement.
h. Acknowledges the presence of customers and responds appropriately to their needs.
i. Properly applies technical knowledge and skills.
j. Takes initiative to ‘go the extra mile’ to meet customers’ needs.
k. Demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
l. Promptly solves problems and resolves complaints.

2. Clinical Care
a. Performs assessment and data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychologic and cognitive needs of the patient/family. Utilizes assessment data in formulating nursing diagnoses.
b. Formulates a goal-directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnoses and expected patient outcomes.
c. Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, safe, consistent and continuous manner by utilization of and adherence to predetermined standards which define the structure, process and desired patient outcomes of nursing process.
d. Evaluates patient/family response to care given by all health care team members, and the effects of systems, environment and instrumentation on progress of patient toward expected outcomes. Reformulates plan of care based on changing patient needs and evaluation of effectiveness of care provided.
e. Utilizes the primary nursing model in all aspects of the nursing process.
f. Demonstrates competency in psychomotor skills.
g. Performs all documentation functions in a timely, accurate and concise manner.
h. Demonstrates current knowledge of nursing research developments and utilizes findings in patient care as appropriate. Participates in nursing and related health care research activities as requested.

3. Patient Education
a. Identifies patient/family learning needs, implements appropriate measures to meet these needs and evaluates patient/family response to education related to hospitalization and discharge.

Physical Requirements:
Physically able to perform CPR.
In good physical condition to meet the demands of an active position, including extensive walking, moderate sitting, standing, stooping and lifting.
Ability to lift infant/toddler (up to 40 lbs.) independently.
Ability to lift/turn other patients with assistance.
Ability to comply with infection control and other safety policies.

Education:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Nursing.

Required Licenses & Certifications:
Current California RN license.
Current American Health Association BLS-C.

Experience:
All Positions posted for the operating room require (3) years of operating room experience within the last (5) five years, preferably in pediatrics.
