Base Pay Rate: $21/hour

Summary of Functions

The Safety Team Member will be responsible for conducting visual observations throughout the Clinic and maintaining operational health and safety standards set by Clinic Operations. The Safety Team Member will promote social distancing best practices amongst patients and team members. They are responsible and accountable for the safety and security of patients, employees and visitors of the clinic buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Safety Team Members are responsible for preserving the integrity of the Camas Health Recovery Center properties by performing the following duties:

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
  • Responds to emergency code calls and completes incident reports on each code.
  • Conducts scheduled routine inspections of buildings, parking lots, grounds, and property to ensure all fire and safety policies and regulations are followed for the safety of all patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Enforces parking regulations and is present in the parking lots during scheduled shifts.
  • Maintain the patient waiting areas including parking lot to ensure cleanliness.
  • Promote use of sanitizer stations posted throughout the facilities and ensure they are fully serviceable. Ensure sanitizing stations are regularly filled; signage is posted and cleaned. Rotate throughout the property to ensure high visibility.
  • Work with the Department of Public Safety to ensure patients are following social distancing and face masks and assist in the enforcement of policies.
  • Assist in providing information to patients regarding safety procedures.
  • Responds to individuals displaying unusual, suspicious, or aggressive behavior firmly, but courteously.
  • Utilizes conflict resolution skills to deescalate the situation or person, involving management when necessary.
  • Ensures security of medications, patient records and any other documentation required by the MSO (Management Service Organization), the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and/or state agencies.
  • Ensures that the clinic protects the rights and confidentiality of all patients to provide each patient with the required medical and clinical care.
  • Responsible for crowd control within procedural guidelines and controlling crowds when clinic is at capacity.
  • Responsible for transporting patients with company vehicle to and from the clinic when needed.
  • Assist with coverage for medication delivery route for active patients.
  • Responsible for receiving packages and obtaining mail from the mailbox and at the Post Office.
  • Responsible for periodic observation of lab UA processes.
  • Conduct routine security surveillance on property and help pull surveillance recordings during incidences for authorized staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) policies and procedures.
  • Interacts with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the company's mission and Best Practice Patient Experience.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Certificates/Licenses

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • First Aid and CPR/AED Certification preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 Year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a two-way radio to communicate with the communications center preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain a Level 3 Kalispel Tribe of Indians Work Permit.
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit or drive for a minimum of an eight-hour workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-50 pounds
  • Ability to stand at events for a minimum of 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to carry out foot patrols.

Additional

  • Read and understand departmental policies, rules, regulations.
  • Quick thinker, reactive and being able to show initiative.
  • Understand oral and written instructions and explain them to others.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and programs to include MS Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Each employee must demonstrate personal integrity and is charged with the responsibility to serve and represent the Camas Health Recovery Center in a professional manner. Employees must be free and appear free of any activity, agreement, business investment, or interest in situations, which may interfere with that.
