Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health Educator to join our team. As a Health Educator, you will be responsible for promoting and improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities through education and outreach programs. Your role will involve providing information on various health topics, conducting workshops, and implementing strategies to encourage healthy behaviors.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver educational programs on public health topics such as nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention
- Conduct assessments to identify the health needs of individuals or communities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective health education materials
- Provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction or other health-related issues
- Collect data to evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for individuals with complex health needs
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage individuals in behavior change
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in the field of public health

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of common ailments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively educate individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in data collection and analysis
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and programs

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $28.59 - $40.82 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
