Job Summary:

The registered nurse (RN) assesses, plans, and implements plans of care to meet patient needs in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures of the department and organization.

May function in either OR circulator or scrub role.

Education:

· Completion of an accredited nursing program as accepted by the Maryland State Board of Nursing.

· Diploma program, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree are all acceptable.

Experience:

· Six (6) months to one (1) year of perioperative experience required.

Licensure Qualifications:

· Maryland State or Multi-State/Compact Registered Nurse Licensure in good standing.

Other Requirements:

· Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training Policy and/or any other departmental requirements.
