Calvert County Nursing Center is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Prince Frederick, MD
Calvert County Nursing Center is looking for a driven, can-do attitude, and skilled candidates who can handle a variety of basic to intermediate maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repairs inside and outside facility
- Ensure all maintenance work and repairs are properly recorded
- Complete routine preventative maintenance
- Performs minor painting, patching and carpentry work
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance such as unclogging drains
- Performs minor electrical maintenance
- Assist with inspections for safety and fire hazards
- Assist with grounds maintenance, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance as needed
Requirements:
- Great work ethic and team player
- Self-motivated and can work with little or no supervision
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds
- Able to stand for periods of up to 3 hours
- Able to climb ladders to a height of 20 feet and work in elevated locations
- Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC experience is a plus
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
