Calvary Church of Naperville is Hiring an After School Program Receptionist Near Naperville, IL

The receptionist will create a warm and inviting environment for parents and visitors. Receptionists must have customer service skills and provide a friendly atmosphere. Receptionists attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face-to-face. The receptionist greets parents and assists them with checking their child in and out of the after-school program. The receptionist keeps safety in mind while monitoring the phones, cameras, and doors.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
  • Take and relay messages
  • Provide information to callers
  • Input and monitor data on the school information system
  • Attend to students coming to the office
  • Communicate messages to and from parents
  • Greet persons entering the school office
  • Assist with general first aid for student injuries while on the playground or in the classroom
  • Direct persons to the correct destination
  • Assist parents with checking their child in and out of the program
  • Assist parents with using the security check-in system
  • Deal with queries from the public and customers
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Control inventory relevant to the reception area
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma is required
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Keyboard skills
  • Ability to work a switchboard
  • First Aid training is preferred, but not required
