Calvary Christian Academy is Hiring a Teacher- Math Middle & High School Near Hollywood, FL
- Model Christ in word and deed.
- Take guidance and counsel from your Department Head.
- Write lesson plans for all classes on a weekly basis.
- Teach the entire assigned curriculum utilizing national standards and biblical integration.
- Establish and maintain communication with parents as specified by administrative policy.
- Read Calvary Christian Academy email/staff communications and respond if requested.
- Be available for student questions, concerns, and ministry before or after school.
- Attend Calvary Christian Academy and Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale staff meetings.
- Attend/participate in Back to School Night and other school events scheduled by the administration.
- Participate in the accreditation process for the school's continuous improvement plan.
- Participate in professional development to stay current in your field.
- Participate in scheduled department meetings.
- Fulfill any assigned supervisory duties.
- Decorate the classroom seasonally, scripturally, and quarterly.
- Prepare interims and report cards quarterly and post grades weekly, and maintain accurate records on each student.
- Discipline with love and enforce established conduct policy.
- Provide remediation or enrichment for students as necessary.
- Participate in Small Group ministry.
- Attend the Chapel that is scheduled for your predominant grade level.
- Adhere to specified professional dress.
- Compile and maintain an up-to-date subfolder
- Secure and straighten up the classroom at the end of each day.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Able to sit and/or stand for a long period of time.
- A love to teach, as unto the Lord and lead/live by the Word.
- The call of God to serve as a teacher.
- A strong commitment to the philosophies and mission of Calvary Chapel and the educational philosophies of Calvary Christian Academy.
- Bachelor of Arts in Math.
- Florida State Certification in Middle School Mathematics, Florida Professional preferred.
- Certification, ACSI certification or CSI certification, and/or 6th-9th certification to qualify to teach Algebra.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with regard to children, their parents, and colleagues.
- Spiritual gifts of teaching, discernment, leadership, service, and exhortation.
- Continuing professional development.
- Computer skills.
