Calvary Christian Academy is Hiring a CCA Fort Lauderdale - Upper School Film/Digital Video Production Teacher Near Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Implement film production curriculum for secondary grades 9 - 12.
- Write lesson plans for all classes on a weekly basis according to Calvary Christian Academy guidelines.
- Create and oversee an ongoing film series for CCA that will be implemented into the curriculum (content to be determined).
- Be available for student questions, concerns, ministry and counsel during lunch hours, before school, after school, or in between classes.
- Participate in scheduled departmental meetings.
- Participates in the professional development and accreditation process for the school's continuous improvement plan.
- Participates in personal professional development in the area of teaching as well as film production and film making.
- Fine Arts performances and/or High School Film shoots in whatever capacity needed.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
- The call of God to serve as a teacher.
- A strong commitment to the philosophies and mission of Calvary Chapel as well as the educational philosophies of Calvary Christian Academy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with regard to children, their parents, and colleagues.
- Spiritual gifts of teaching, discernment, administration, leadership, service, and exhortation.
- Group facilitation skills.
- Bachelor degree in Video Production, Film making or equivalent field of study.
- Full knowledge of the craft of screenwriting, including proper formatting.
- Full knowledge of the basic principles of pre-production and production management.
- Full knowledge of the basic principles of cinematography including, but not limited to, composition, exposure, color temperature as well as the craft and techniques involved with lighting for video.
- Full knowledge of the basic principles of editing fiction and non-fiction video projects.
- Full knowledge of the basic principles of sound recording and mixing.
- Full knowledge of the following computer applications – iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop.
- Continuing professional development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Flexibility.
