Essential Functions

  • Account/territory management, financial merchandising and prospect for new business
  • Create, execute, and maintain plans to generate sales of capital material handling equipment to industrial and commercial customers
  • Meet quota objectives provided by sales management
  • Ability to use effective time and territory management skills
  • Personal visits to customer locations to identify applications and opportunities
  • Effective use of direct mail, phone and electronic media to communicate with prospects and customers
  • Generate leads from the CRM through phone calls and email
  • Enter, update, and maintain Customer information in CRM on daily basis
  • Manage and follow up on existing leads in the CRM (competitive lease end, buyer zone, tech leads, etc.)
  • Must be able to develop and present written proposals to solve customers’ needs
  • Effectively present at the customers’ location in front of a group and show the benefits of your products and services
  • Actively participate in the use and expansion of the company’s CRM program
  • Execute planned sales calls
  • Participate in sales training and use tools provided to educate on your own various products and services offered by the company
  • Review open proposals with sales management and request management participation in customer sales calls when necessary
  • Turn in completed quotes to sales administration and review for accuracy
  • Ability to demonstrate products at the customer’s location
  • Coordinate with other internal departments sales strategies that exceed customers’ expectations
  • Offer customized financing packages to meet each customer’s unique requirements
  • Job-site focused and promote our vast rental equipment lineup
  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous industrial equipment sales a plus
  • Ability to interface with customers / co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Language Skills - Basic ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency, weight, measurement, volume, and distance
  • Reasoning Ability - Basic ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
