Calspan Corporation is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Buffalo, NY

Overview

Calspan Business Park is a premier office and industrial park located in Buffalo, NY. We are looking for a team oriented Facilities Technician to join our team and perform a variety of tasks, both indoor and outdoor, involving physical labor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to company equipment.
  • Manage the duties of the shipping and receiving area, including but not limited to, obtaining HAZMAT certification and secret level clearance.
  • Show increased ability in upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed by management.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Associates degree in related field and completed courses in building trades
  • 3 years in related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability: 

  • Effectively operate seasonal equipment
  • Ability to lifting repetitively, bend, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to follow direction and fully complete all assigned tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Able to follow workplace safety procedures, including machinery lock out, tag out and use of personal protective equipment
  • Able to perform job tasks outdoors in hot and cold conditions
  • Good communication skills to interact with tenants and coworkers
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs or up to 75lbs with assistance
