Calmcare Healthy Living and Senior Care is Hiring a Caregiver (FT) Near Mckinney, TX

Calm Care Healthy Living and Senior Care is an independently owned and operated care home that provides quality personal care 24 hours a day to our residents. Residents get one on one help with meals and ADL's and we treat our residents like how we will care for our loved ones because they are family.
We are currently seeking Live-In Caregivers at our McKinney Texas location. Live-In Caregivers live at the property full time and are paid a daily rate for their Live-In services. They also receive all expense paid room and board, which includes free utilities, WIFI, laundry services and meals. To apply, please reply with resume.
Live-In Caregivers assist the elderly, or persons with disabilities with daily living activities at our personal care home. Duties include keeping house (making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes) and preparing meals. Live-In Caregivers also monitor and report changes in health status and provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming of clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around.
  •  Provides clients with help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming.
  •  Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.
  •  Performs health care-related tasks such as monitoring vital signs and medication under the direction of registered nurses and physicians and in accordance with polices and procedures.
  •  Maintains records of residential care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discusses observations with supervisor.
  •  Serves meals to patients or other family members according to prescribed diets.
  •  Instructs or advises clients on issues such as cleanliness, hygiene, or nutrition.
  •  Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations.
  •  Fills out and completes residents incident reports as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employees information to assure that all rights are protected.
  • Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in all departmental meetings as required.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
  • Requires a strong work ethic, patience, understanding and professionalism.
  •  Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  •  Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties.
  •  Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  One year of related experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation

  •  Current Driver's License
  • Background Screening
