Calmcare Healthy Living and Senior Care is Hiring a Caregiver (FT) Near Mckinney, TX
We are currently seeking Live-In Caregivers at our McKinney Texas location. Live-In Caregivers live at the property full time and are paid a daily rate for their Live-In services. They also receive all expense paid room and board, which includes free utilities, WIFI, laundry services and meals. To apply, please reply with resume.
- Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around.
- Provides clients with help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming.
- Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.
- Performs health care-related tasks such as monitoring vital signs and medication under the direction of registered nurses and physicians and in accordance with polices and procedures.
- Maintains records of residential care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discusses observations with supervisor.
- Serves meals to patients or other family members according to prescribed diets.
- Instructs or advises clients on issues such as cleanliness, hygiene, or nutrition.
- Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations.
- Fills out and completes residents incident reports as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employees information to assure that all rights are protected.
- Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in all departmental meetings as required.
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
- Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
- Requires a strong work ethic, patience, understanding and professionalism.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties.
- Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation
- Current Driver's License
- Background Screening
