Why CALM?It’s an amazing time to join us as CALM was just awarded a substantial $694,000 grant from the Department of Health Care Services to implement and scale Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) across Santa Barbara County! This exciting opportunity affords CALM the resources to establish an 18-month learning collaborative for up to 18 therapists with dedicated time for training, consultation, and implementation of CPP and the ability to hire and train a new Clinical Supervisor in this modality and CALM’s other evidence-based practices.
What is Child Parent Psychotherapy? CPP is an intervention model for children aged 0-5 who have experienced at least one traumatic event (e.g. maltreatment, the sudden or traumatic death of someone close, a serious accident, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence) and/or are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Summary: CALM is looking for a driven and dedicated Clinical Supervisor to join its Great Beginnings Department. Based in Santa Maria or Lompoc, this integral role will both deliver therapy services directly to clients as well as supervise a minimum of (3) unlicensed employees, including trainees, associates, and/or practicum students, providing clinical and administrative oversight. This role will monitor supervisee’s caseload, clinical interventions, crisis management, and documentation, to ensure clinical excellence, compliance, and timeliness in the support hundreds of clients. 
How you will make an impact: · Provide weekly individual clinical supervision of clinical staff and facilitates group supervision or case consultation as required. · Support supervisees in developing the skills necessary to assess, diagnosis, case conceptualize, and manage interpersonal dynamics that impact the therapeutic process. · Help supervisees identify yearly professional development goals and collaboratively monitors progress toward those goals. · Ensure that supervisees are implementing CALM’s core evidence-based modalities to fidelity by maintaining training and/or certification in these modalities, observing supervisee-client sessions at least quarterly, and reviewing client standardized assessment data to monitor progress. · Regularly solicit and provide feedback to/from supervisee regarding supervision, including providing a yearly evaluation of supervisee’s clinical performance. · Monitor supervisee caseloads and client charts to ensure supervisee is complying with agency, legal and ethical practices as outlined by CALM’s policies and procedures, the California Board of Psychology, and the Board of Behavioral Sciences. · In conjunction with the Program Manager, provide support, training, and remediation where needed to assist supervisees in meeting CALM’s clinical productivity standards, documentation standards and all other quality assurance standards. · Communicate any concerns about quality of clinician’s work to Program Manager in a timely manner. Identify training needs and make recommendations to the Program Manager. · Participate in clinical meetings, administrative program meetings and trainings as required. · Provide CALM with all the necessary documentation to ensure on-going eligibility to provide clinical supervision. · Spend approximately 50% of your time delivering therapy services directly to clients. · Other duties or projects as assigned.

Compensation:

CALM offers a 10% compensation increase upon licensure. 

CALM offers a $1-3/hour bilingual stipend to employees that use a second language. 

The salary range for this role is $81,120-$108,160

The salary range provided denotes the minimum and maximum rates applicable to the position. Factors influencing the placement of newly hired employees within this range include their specific skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and comparison with existing employees in similar roles. Typically, newly hired employees are positioned below the midpoint of the salary range.

Requirements

Role requirements:

• Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, master’s degree in social work, or master’s degree in marriage and family therapy

· Current California license and minimum of 2 years clinical experience post licensure required

· Experience working with complex clinical issues surrounding children and families preferred

· Experience working with or certification in any of the following modalities preferred: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and/or Mental Health Consultation

· Clinical Supervisor must maintain training and/or certification in the clinical modalities they supervise

· Must have a valid California driver’s license, clean DMV record and criminal record clearance from the DOJ 

· Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
