Calkins Networks is a growing IT consulting firm looking to add another member to our growing team. We provide cutting edge technology solutions to Vermont based businesses. This is an exciting position that is fast paced, requires proficient troubleshooting skills, and candidates must have excellent customer service skills and patience.

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for managing customer support requests, respond to monitoring alerts, and proactive system maintenance on customer systems and networks. Candidates must have a vast knowledge in order to support a wide array of hardware platforms, operating systems, and software packages.

Applicants will be responsible for the following:

• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on Windows client operating systems, MAC, as well as Microsoft server operating systems.
• Manage help desk requests submitted by phone, email, or chat. Document all support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Manage complex projects including on-prem to cloud conversions (Exchange to O365, server virtualization and migration to the cloud, etc)
• Have a reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations to resolve requests that require an onsite visit. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Candidates shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas.

• Related industry certifications a requirement (A , MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, etc)
• Physical requirements may include lifting up to 70 lbs
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Driver's License.
• Supporting HP, Dell, Intel, or Lenovo client and server hardware
• Supporting Windows operating systems such as Windows 10/11 and server operating systems ranging from 2012 to 2022
• Virtualization technology including Hyper-V and VMWare
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
• Network systems knowledge including switch management (variety of hardware vendors), VLANs, routing, firewall support including WatchGuard, SonicWALL, Cisco, and FortiGate
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Wireless experience managing and supporting autonomous and managed access points.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
