Job Summary:

The Shipping Dock Dispatcher will organize a team of employees during a specified shift to ensure that products are properly loaded and unloaded into company trucks for deliveries.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the shipping dock.

• Ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight.

• Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies.

• Monitors freight movement using various computer software applications.

• Consults with production planning team to plan deliveries for the next day.

• Assesses efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities.

• Identifies and recommends improvements to shift, department, and facility.

• Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations on a daily and weekly basis.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1-3 years of Shipping experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and up to four hours per shift sitting and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

• Must be able to traverse facility on unforgiving surfaces.

• Must be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with many noises and odors.
