California Wave Dental Center is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Thousand Oaks, CA

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our dental team in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main duties will include preparing patients for dental procedures, assisting the dentist during procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized dental office.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures, including taking medical histories and sterilizing dental instruments
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them tools, suctioning saliva and water from the patient's mouth, and taking x-rays
  • Ensure patient comfort by providing information and assistance as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized dental office, including cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments, and disposing of contaminated materials
  • Educate patients on dental hygiene and proper oral care techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist or office manager

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental software
  • CPR certification required
