Large food processing company in Southern San Diego, which has been in business for more than 25 years, is looking for a professional Inventory Manager. The business is a supplier to Fortune 500 food companies throughout the United States. The culture at the company is a close-knit team environment, with many employees who have worked together for years. The company offers generous benefits to its full-time employees including 401K with match, fully funded health insurance, PTO, etc.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and responsible. This in-person position requires a self-starter with good communication skills that works well in a small team environment. Spanish is a plus but not required.
Duties include
· Working within a NetSuite ERP system. Company will train.
· Manage order details and inventory levels.
· Monitor the movement of inventory from production, through cold storage facilities, to the final customers, with a sense of professional urgency.
· Arrange truckload shipments of finished products to Customers.
· Invoice with accuracy.
· Communicate with customers, sales brokers, cold storage facilities and freight companies.
· Participate in annual mock recalls. Trace all products through inventory and distribution with 100% accuracy.
· Manage all inventory movements. Prepare and forward product releases to freezers and carriers.
· Support the Management team to guide the company to growth.
· Problem solving as issues arise with carriers, customers, product damage, etc.
