Location: California School for the Deaf, Fremont OF EDUCATION
Monthly Salary: $7,534 – $10,393 base salary
$200 bilingual pay
$700 recruitment & retention
Salary Range: $101,208 – $135,516 annually
DUTIES
The Curriculum Outreach Resource Education Supervisor supports the school’s philosophy, policies, mission,
vision, goals, and Expected Schoolwide Learning Results; develops and supervises a comprehensive
curriculum, media and instructional support services program for students; Supervise for the personnel and
programs including a media center, a library, Academic Assessment Consultation, Professional Development
and Support. The team of specialists includes the following: Literacy Coach, Math Coach, Bilingual / Deaf
Studies Specialist, Early Childhood Education Specialist, Content Area Curriculum Teacher Specialist,
Education Technology Specialist, and Student Outcomes Teacher Specialist; Supports the team to provide
New Teacher Mentorship and Induction Program for Teachers; Processes student teacher applications and
places student teachers in classrooms for internships; Lead the efforts for WASC/CEASD School Accreditation;
Work with principals and DOI on implementation and maintenance of curriculum and assessments focusing on
programs needs and student outcomes.
This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of, or eligible to obtain the valid California Administrative Services Credential within 3 years from
- A Master’s degree and possession of a California Standard Teacher Credential, authorizing the holder to
- Fluency in expressive and receptive American Sign Language (ASL) of at least a Level 4 ASLPI
- A combination of five years of experience teaching and experience mentoring teachers
- Knowledge of the K-12 state content standards and assessment strategies
- Education and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: working with students from a diverse
- Good command of written English

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Subject to fingerprinting and criminal record clearance by the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of
Investigation and Tuberculosis clearance. This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to
