The Rural Justice Unit team seeks a Staff Attorney who will work with a team of two community workers to provide legal support to San Joaquin County adults age 60 and over toward remaining independent in their homes and communities, with the goal of protecting and advancing the rights of San Joaquin Countys seniors and adults with removing barriers impacting self-sufficiency, independence, and economic well-being. The team will focus primarily focus housing preservation, public benefits, and healthcare advocacy. Funding for this position is through December 31, 2023, with the expectation that continued funding will be awarded.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is a union position (Legal Service Workers for Rural California "LSWRC" ), and the salary ranges from (Staff Attorney: $65,500-$90,000) depending on each year of admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction and any relevant law-related work experience prior to being admitted to practice law.
