Job Description:

The Driver's primary responsibility is to provide transportation services for the treatment facility and provide supervision and assistance to the clients of the facility in conjunction with the criteria of the program’s mission and goals assigned by the client’s clinical team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

YOUR PRIMARY DUTIES WILL INVOLVE DRIVING AND TRANSPORTATION. HOWEVER, ON OCCASSION, DURING DOWNTIME AND WHEN EXTRA HANDS ARE NEEDED, THE DRIVER WILL PERFORM DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

• Safely drive a company vehicle along a predetermined route to move company resources between locations.
• Check and fill vehicle gas levels and maintain cleanliness. Take the vehicle to the car wash when necessary.
• Pick up and drop off clients between treatment facilities and appointments.
• Resupply stations with equipment and inventory. Pick up and drop off internal mail, medical supplies, medications, and items from various collection points or requested locations.
• Ensure the correct handling and transport of sensitive and confidential company resources.
• Responsibly log inventory and drop offs as needed.
• Ensure prompt and safe delivery of items throughout the company.
• Assist company operations through special courier requests as needed.
• Be available to the Company’s Directors and Managers for assignments as needed, including non-transportation specific duties
• Process Urine Analysis (UA) tests; perform proper storage of the sample; accurately complete information on the appropriate UA form; assure proper transferring of UA sample to the appropriate testing authority.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Must have a clean, good driving record
• Complete and pass a written company approved Safe Driving course and test
• At least a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have demonstrated ability and prior experience working with minimum supervision and high levels of responsibility in highly stressful situations.
• Because intensive interaction with substances abusers in the early stages of their recovery can trigger relapses and emotional setbacks, recovering substance abusers must have at least two years of continuous sobriety and be actively participating in therapy. Must abide by the Alcohol & Drug Free policy.
• Must have demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner.
• Valid California driver's license, provide evidence of vehicle insurance, and be insurable under the company's insurance policy.
• Ability to work well with residents, associates, and the public; work references will be required.
• Acceptable TB test results and first aid/CPR certification.
