Job Description and Duties
The San Jose Area Office has a current vacancy for a full-time Office Technician (Typing) (OT) position. The OT is under the general direction of the Office Services Supervisor II (General). The OT maintains and updates confidential uniformed and professional staff personnel files and is responsible for transferring them to new Area offices as necessary. Maintains employee medical files, payroll processing, overtime, and check processing. Processes quarterly Supply Services requisitions, and is the Area's authorized Procurement Card purchaser. Prepares quarterly requisitions for the Supply Services Unit. Area's X-Number coordinator, inventories and orders office supplies, prepares daily and weekly transmittal records. Processes petty cash reimbursements, Department memorandums, letters and confidential correspondence for the Area, including but not limited to: adverse actions, miscellaneous investigations, and citizen complaints.
