California Health Collaborative is Hiring a Project Director Near Chico, CA

This position is funded through 6/30/2025 under a contract with the CA Tobacco Prevention Program. Preference will be given to candidates that live in Butte or Glenn counties.

SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Senior Director of Programs, the Project Director plans, supervises, and manages the activities of the Si Se Puede Program and coordinates with other California Health Collaborative activities and performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Consults with the Director for planning, policy and program direction.

2. Manages implementation of activities of the Si Se Puede Program to achieve contract compliance.

3. Develops functional program plans, which are intended to direct program to achieve program goals and objectives.

4. Under the supervision of the Director, develops correspondence, promotional and statistical materials.

5. Performs ongoing process and outcome evaluations in accordance with contract requirements.

6. Manages program expenditures in compliance with budget and funding source directives.

7. Recruits, trains, supervises, guides, and evaluates assigned personnel and to ensure the necessary competencies are met.

8. Participates in the development of proposals, applications, and/or requests for new or continued funding.

9. Represents the California Health Collaborative and Si Se Puede in meetings with committees and community stakeholder organizations to facilitate inter-agency linkages, communication, and collaboration.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Education and experience requirements are a bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field; two years of administrative level experience in planning, developing and managing a health or human services program; one-year leadership-level experience in a collaborative endeavor; or a combination of work experience and education indicating an ability to fulfill the requirements of the position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, procedure manuals, Federal and State government statutes and regulations, technical articles and general business periodicals. Ability to write in an effective, concise manner. Ability to effectively present information to groups of various backgrounds and respond to questions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and area.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and good judgment, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited or no standardization exists, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES

Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish preferred.

Ability to make clear and effective presentations to both professional groups and the public.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral form.

Ability to travel and, if necessary, attend out-of-town meetings or conferences which could require overnight travel.

A valid California Driver’s License and proof of insurance.

Pay: $64,500.00 per year
