California Health Collaborative is Hiring a Grant Manager Near Sacramento, CA

Job Title: Grant Manager

Status: Part or Full-time (20 to 40 hours weekly). Limited term, grant-funded.

Program(s) Name: Care Management Programs

Location: Sacramento office or Fresno office (depending upon assignment)

Pay Rate:

$28.85 to $31.25/hourly

SUMMARY

Under direct supervision of the Leadership Team, in coordination with the Fiscal Department, the grant manager is responsible for planning, tracking, and coordinating with other CalAIM staff to ensure program goals, grant applications, tracking and reporting submissions, and grant deliverables are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintains grant database to ensure accurate information about funders, progress on milestones, and on-time completion of all deliverables needed through the entire grant cycle.
  • Finds, writes, and submits grants supportive of CalAIM including those through the Managed Care Plans, TA Marketplace, foundations, or other grant sources.
  • Tracks, writes, and submits all grant-funded program reports with support from related program staff to ensure compliance of grant deliverables and funding requirements.
  • Maintains database to ensure accurate information about TA Marketplace and CalAIM-related projects.
  • Coordinate with TA Marketplace vendors and other related funders to ensure that CalAIM goals are being met.
  • Track and provide progress reports to CalAIM Leadership Team on status of TA Marketplace and related funded projects and goals. Communicate any challenges or needs to help ensure on-time delivery of projects.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with CalAIM team to ensure program and grant goals and deliverables are on schedule.
  • Participate in trainings, conferences, or health fairs as appropriate to job duties or required by funding source(s).
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must clear Department of Justice background check.

Compensation based on experience, education, and program allocations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, plus at least 1 year professional experience in grant management.

OR GED/high school diploma plus 3-5 years of professional experience in grant management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures, and techniques.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with deadlines while remaining flexible to adapt to and manage the unexpected

· Requires a positive attitude, desire, professionalism, and willingness to work with low-income, medically compromised individuals, and an ability to work with participants, peers, community members, and collaborative partners.

  • Proficient technical knowledge with current/prior versions of Microsoft and Apple operating systems, Office applications, Outlook/Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in English with good communication and writing skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for developing and tracking grant budgets.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to use good judgment to conduct professional and collaborative activities and solve practical problems within established limits and guidelines. Ability to recognize instances in which consultation with Program Supervisors, Directors, or Senior Director should be sought.
